Abstract
We report our recent study regarding chiral inhomogeneous phases in dense matter.
We first review the generalized Ginzburg-Landau approach, a powerful tool dealing
with inhomogeneous phases and present its application to explorations of the effects
of magnetic field to high density quark matter. Second, we offer the opposite bottom-up approach to inhomogeneous nuclear matter phase using parity-doublet structure where vector mesons are included in a manner guided by the hidden local symmetry.We report an emergence of a new DCDW phase where the space average of condensateis nonvanishing depending on the value of the chiral invariant mass parameter.
